        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 BPOM (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan) head Taruna Ikrar\nannounced that the Indonesian Food and Drug Regulatory Authority has\nsuccessfully joined the WHO Listed Authority (WLA) register, becoming an\ninternationally standardised food and drug regulator whose reputation is\nrecognised globally.<\/p>\n<p>BPOM\u2019s WLA status represents a significant opportunity for Indonesia\nto develop pharmaceutical and vaccine production under world-standard\noversight conducted by a WHO-recognised agency. Consequently, drugs and\nfood products regulated by BPOM have enhanced opportunities to access\nexport markets due to their high standards.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward, BPOM will continue driving reforms to support its\nrole as a high-licensed food and drug regulatory authority capable of\nsupporting the development of domestic pharmaceutical, vaccine and food\nindustries and products.
