There are three factors that must be verified\nsimultaneously: the person, their identity, and the device used.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - VIDA, a digital identity and cybersecurity\ncompany, has launched ID FraudShield as an integrated technology that\ncombines biometric verification with device analysis and real-time fraud\ndetection in a seamless manner.<\/p>\n<p>The launch of ID FraudShield is driven by the evolution of online\nfraud tactics, which no longer solely target facial manipulation but\nhave shifted to devices, networks, user behaviour, and the transactions\nthemselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo handle these fraud methods, a single layer of verification is no\nlonger enough. There are three factors that must be verified\nsimultaneously: the person, their identity, and the device used,\u201d said\nVIDA Founder and Group CEO Niki Luhur at the launch event in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that online fraudsters now employ more advanced\ntechniques in their operations, such as injection attacks that insert\nfake images directly into the verification system.<\/p>\n<p>This cybersecurity platform operates two tools simultaneously within\none technology. The first tool is Biometric Liveness Detection, which\nensures the presence of a real human and prevents deepfakes, spoofing,\nas well as screen replays or attempts to replay videos or facial\nrecordings on a screen to deceive the system as if it were a live\ninteraction.<\/p>\n<p>The second tool is ID FraudShield, supported by Sardine\u2019s agentic\nrisk platform, which has visibility over more than 5.4 billion device\nprofiles and is specifically designed to combat fraud in the financial\nsector.<\/p>\n<p>ID FraudShield technology works by analysing device signals and user\nbehaviour in real-time. Its goal is to detect fraud indicators that\nmight be missed by biometric checks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe built this solution because we have seen firsthand how fraud can\nbypass liveness detection without being caught. At the same time, many\ncompanies actually lack visibility to recognise such risks. Through this\ntechnology, we want to help the industry detect fraud that was\npreviously invisible,\u201d said Niki.<\/p>",
