Victims' families to get donations<\/p>\n
TANGERANG (JP): The Tangerang regency plans to donate Rp
\n250,000 to each of the families of 12 people who died when the
\noverloaded Krisna-1 boat capsized Monday in the Thousand Islands
\nchain in North Jakarta, an official said Thursday<\/p>\n
"Hopefully, the money can help reduce the families' burdens,"
\nTangerang Regent Agus Djunara said.<\/p>\n
He did not indicate a specific date when the regency would
\nmake the donation.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Pamudji, the head of the Cituis Port Authority,
\nsaid search and rescue teams were still scouring the area to find
\nmore bodies from the incident.<\/p>\n
"So far, we haven't found any bodies other than the 12. But
\nwe'll keep looking," he said.<\/p>\n
The bodies were found floating near Lancang Island some
\ndistance from where the vessel capsized.<\/p>\n
The vessel was reportedly carrying far more passengers than
\nits stated capacity. It was transporting guests who had attended
\na wedding reception in the Thousand Islands to Cituis Port.<\/p>\n
Officials indicated Wednesday that there were at least 36
\nsurvivors from the incident. It is still unknown how many
