        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister for Women\u2019s Empowerment and Child\nProtection Veronica Tan has urged women to create works and bring about\npositive change. \u201cSo, we are no longer talking about women as\nbeneficiaries, but we are discussing women as part of the works that can\nsupport our nation\u2019s strategic economy, for our Indonesian nation,\u201d she\nsaid at the opening of the Indonesian Women Artist (IWA) exhibition in\nJakarta on Thursday. \u201cLet us together make it a movement to move and\nfight for women who already have their works but do not have access, or\ndo not have a platform for them to express themselves, display their\nconfidence, and also contribute as part of Indonesians,\u201d she told\nparticipants at the IWA #4 exhibition. She hopes the IWA exhibition can\nbecome a platform to enhance the competitiveness of female artists. Head\nof the Museum and Cultural Heritage Indira Estiyanti Nurjadin said that\nIWA provides space for documentation, presentation, and ongoing meetings\nof works. \u201cThis series of exhibitions not only builds a cultural archive\nbut also affirms the contributions of female artists in broader cultural\nconversations,\u201d she said. She conveyed that IWA can provide space to\nconnect the works of female artists with the public. According to her,\nthe National Gallery is ready to facilitate and support the visual arts\necosystem by providing space for presenting works and adequate art\npractice facilities. The IWA #4 exhibition is held to welcome the\ncommemoration of International Women\u2019s Day on 8 March 2026, Kartini Day\non 21 April 2026, and the City of Jakarta\u2019s Anniversary on 22 June 2026.\nThe exhibition, held at the National Gallery in Jakarta from 10 April to\n30 June 2026, features works by artists Bibiana Lee, Citra Sasmita &amp;\nCinta Bumi Artisan, Dyantini Adeline, Endang Lestari, Ines Katamso, and\nIrene Agrivina.
