        "content": "<p>Semarang (ANTARA) - The Semarang Corruption Court postponed the\nverdict hearing in the alleged corruption case regarding the provision\nof credit facilities to PT Sritex, with defendants Iwan Setiawan\nLukminto, the Chairman Commissioner of PT Sritex, and Iwan Kurniawan\nLukminto, the President Director of PT Sritex, until Wednesday (6\/5)\nbecause the judges were not ready.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe apologise for not being able to complete the verdict,\u201d said Chief\nJudge Rommel Franciskus Tampubolon in Semarang on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The judge subsequently postponed the reading of the verdict for one\nday, to be read at the hearing on Wednesday (6\/5).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, one of the obstacles in delivering the verdict was\nthat it had not yet been uploaded to the system before the midnight\ndeadline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have no assistants; we compiled everything ourselves,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Iwan Setiawan Lukminto, the Chairman Commissioner of PT Sritex, and\nIwan Kurniawan Lukminto, the President Director of PT Sritex, the\ndefendants in the alleged corruption case regarding the provision of\ncredit facilities to the bankrupt textile company, are each demanded a\nprison sentence of 16 years.<\/p>\n<p>The two defendants are also demanded to pay a fine of Rp1 billion\neach, which if not paid will be replaced with imprisonment for 190\ndays.<\/p>\n<p>The two defendants are deemed proven guilty of violating Article 603\nof the new Criminal Code on corruption and Article 607 of the new\nCriminal Code on money laundering offences.<\/p>\n<p>The two defendants are also demanded with additional punishment in\nthe form of payment of state loss restitution each amounting to Rp677\nbillion, which if not paid will be replaced with imprisonment for 8\nyears.<\/p>",
