        "content": "<p>The Corruption Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court\nhas scheduled the verdict hearing for the case of alleged corruption in\nthe procurement of educational Chromebooks and Chrome Device Management\n(CDM) for the 2020-2022 fiscal year, with defendant Nadiem Anwar\nMakarim, on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. \u201cGoing forward, the panel of judges\nwill deliberate. We had intended to read the verdict two days from now,\non Thursday, but considering my health condition is somewhat impaired\ntoday, we need time to prepare it,\u201d said Presiding Judge Purwanto S\nAbdullah after the rebuttal hearing in Jakarta on Tuesday (23\/6). \u201cWe\nwill proceed with the verdict hearing on Tuesday, 30 June 2026,\u201d he\ncontinued. Purwanto stated that all matters, including the arguments of\nthe parties, evidence, and legal arguments presented during the trial,\nwill be fully considered in reaching a decision. He emphasised that the\npanel of judges will deliberate with a clear heart and firm conviction\nto deliver justice through the reading of the verdict. \u201cThe defendant is\nrequired to attend the hearing scheduled for Tuesday, 30 June 2026. The\nsession is concluded and closed,\u201d he said. Previously, public\nprosecutors from the Attorney General\u2019s Office demanded that the panel\nof judges sentence Nadiem to 18 years in prison and a fine of Rp1\nbillion, with a subsidiary sentence of 190 days in prison. Nadiem was\nalso ordered to pay restitution amounting to Rp809,597,125,000 (Rp809.5\nbillion) and Rp4,871,469,603,758 (Rp4.8 trillion), representing assets\ndisproportionate to his legitimate income or suspected to originate from\ncorruption. If the restitution is not paid, it will be replaced with an\nadditional 9 years of imprisonment. According to the prosecutors, the\nfacts revealed during the trial proved that Nadiem caused state losses\nin the procurement of Chromebooks and CDM for the 2020-2022 fiscal\nyear.<\/p>",
