REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - The verdict hearing against former\nSleman Regent Sri Purnomo in the 2020 tourism grant corruption case has\nbeen postponed. The postponement was decided by the panel of judges\nduring the trial at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) at Yogyakarta\nDistrict Court on Thursday (23\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
The Presiding Judge, Melinda Aritonang, stated that the hearing will\nbe reconvened on Monday, 27 April 2026. \u201cWe postpone it to Monday, 27\nApril. So, if it\u2019s read out on Monday, the decision can be finalised\nimmediately,\u201d said Presiding Judge Melinda Aritonang on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The postponement was made because there are still several aspects of\nthe decision that need to be corrected. The panel of judges also ordered\nSri Purnomo to remain in custody until the verdict hearing takes place.\nThe agenda for reading the verdict is scheduled for 09:00 WIB.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause there are several things that need to be corrected and\nperfected, we postpone it to Monday,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Sri Purnomo\u2019s legal counsel, Soepriyadi, admitted to being surprised\nby the postponement. Despite this, their side along with the defendant\nwere ready to hear the decision from the panel of judges. \u201cWe were ready\nin body and soul,\u201d said Soepriyadi.<\/p>\n
