The assurance was\ndelivered following a 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck the northern\ncoast of Venezuela on Wednesday, 24 June 2026. \u201cThe Indonesian Embassy\nbuilding in Caracas and the Ambassador\u2019s residence are in good\ncondition, and all staff are safe,\u201d she stated in an official release on\nThursday, 25 June 2026. She said emergency communication lines have been\nopened to monitor the developing situation and ensure regular updates on\nthe condition of Indonesian nationals. The Indonesian Embassy in\nCaracas, she added, continues to monitor official information from the\nVenezuelan government regarding the potential for aftershocks and\ncoastal hazards. She urged all Indonesian citizens in Venezuela to\nremain vigilant and to follow the directives of local authorities. The USGS reported a stronger aftershock shortly\nafter the first quake, with a magnitude of 7.5. The epicentre of the\nsecond quake was near the Yumare area, slightly north of the first\nquake.<\/p>",
