Vendors cash in on Azahari raid<\/p>\n

The police raid on a house being rented by alleged terror
\nmastermind Azahari in Batu, Malang, East Java, has been a
\nfinancial boon for residents and food vendors.<\/p>\n
Since the story of the raid broke on Wednesday night,
\nthousands of people have flocked to the area to get a glimpse of
\nwhat is the most exciting event to happen in the town in its
\nhistory.<\/p>\n
The huge crowds have prompted residents to set up stands
\nselling food and beverages, and for other residents to offer
\ntransportation service.<\/p>\n
By Thursday morning dozens of vendors, parking attendants and
\nmotorcycle taxi drivers had gathered near the raided house, ready
\nto sell their services to police officers, journalists and
\nbystanders.<\/p>\n
"The raid is a blessing in disguise," said Soleh, a resident
\nwho has turned part of his land into a parking lot, where he
\ncharges motorcycles Rp 1,000 for the privilege of parking.<\/p>\n
Yanto, a long-time food vendor in the area, said Thursday was
\nproving to be one of his most profitable days ever.<\/p>",
