        "content": "<p>Construction work on utility network infrastructure will be carried\nout on Jalan Kramat Raya, Central Jakarta, and Jalan Matraman Raya, East\nJakarta. The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) will implement\nphased traffic diversions on these roads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis infrastructure work includes the installation of manhole\nframes, manhole covers, precast handholes, HDPE pipes, and finishing\nworks,\u201d according to a statement on the Central Jakarta City Government\nwebsite on Tuesday (18\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Traffic diversions are being applied in stages to maintain smooth\ntraffic flow and road safety during the construction period, which is\nbeing undertaken by the Jakarta Bina Marga Office. Transjakarta bus\nseparators will be dismantled in stages according to the project\nlocations to add vehicle lanes.<\/p>\n<p>Work on the west side of Jalan Kramat Raya will be carried out from\nin front of the old Pasar Kenari to in front of Bank Mandiri. This\nsection has 52 manhole points along 1.2 kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>The work will be carried out in stages from 8 August to 30 November\n2026. During the construction of the utility network infrastructure,\nlane narrowing will occur, creating potential congestion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLane impact: During the works, there will be narrowing of the road\nbody and reduction of lane width in the work area,\u201d the statement\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, on Jalan Matraman Raya, the utility network infrastructure\nwork will be carried out from Jalan Kesatria 1 to Simpang Matraman. This\nsection will have 48 manhole points along 1.3 km, with work scheduled\nfrom 1 September to 26 November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the works, there will be narrowing of the road body and\nreduction of lane width,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The Transjakarta bus separator on Jalan Matraman Raya will also be\ndismantled in stages according to the ongoing project to add vehicle\nlanes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo reduce potential congestion, the Transjakarta separator along the\nwork area will be shifted flexibly according to field needs, so\nTransjakarta buses will operate in mixed traffic (sharing lanes),\u201d the\nstatement said.<\/p>\n<p>Dishub said PT Scitech Utama, as the contractor for the utility\nnetwork infrastructure construction on Jalan Kramat Raya and Jalan\nMatraman Raya, bears full responsibility for the safety and security of\nroad users (motorised and non-motorised) at the construction sites.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoad users are advised to avoid these roads and to comply with the\nestablished traffic arrangements, obey traffic signs and instructions\nfrom officers in the field, and prioritise road safety,\u201d the statement\nsaid.<\/p>",
