        "content": "<p>U.S. soldiers avoid Bali<\/p>\n<p>KUTA, Bali: A senior Bali businessman called on Friday for the<br>\nU.S. military not to discourage its soldiers from holidaying on<br>\nthe resort island of Bali.<\/p>\n<p>Lie Djin Sin, the owner of Putri Duyung Hotel in Seminyak,<br>\nKuta, said soldiers no longer came to the island following the<br>\nBali bombing two years ago that killed more than 200 people,<br>\nmostly foreign tourists.<\/p>\n<p>The soldiers had been ordered by their superiors to avoid Bali<br>\nand choose other tourist destinations on fears they could be<br>\ntargets of terrorist attacks, Sin said.<\/p>\n<p>About 2,000 U.S. soldiers on average, mostly from U.S.<br>\nmilitary bases in Okinawa, Japan, used to visit Bali each year,<br>\nhe said. -- Antara<\/p>",
