        "content": "<p>U.S. oil giant to open school<\/p>\n<p>BANDUNG: Oil giant, PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia plans to open<br>\na polytechnics school in Riau&apos;s capital Pekanbaru in September as<br>\npart of its community development service.<\/p>\n<p>The company&apos;s contract to develop and manage the Coastal Plain<br>\nPekanbaru (CPP) oil block will expire next year, but has<br>\nallocated US$7 million to build infrastructure and other<br>\nfacilities for the school.<\/p>\n<p>As part of its operational preparation, the United States<br>\ncompany, a joint venture of Chevron and Texaco, has sent 20 newly<br>\nrecruited lecturers to the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB)<br>\nfor further training.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Caltex and ITB<br>\nwas signed in Bandung over the weekend,&quot; the company said in a<br>\nstatement, released on Saturday.
