        "content": "<p>Washington (ANTARA) - United States forces have been placed on\nstandby for a possible strike against Iran starting Saturday, according\nto a report by CBS News.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcaster also reported that President Donald Trump has not yet\ndecided whether the strike will be carried out.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the latest talks between Washington and Tehran regarding\nIran\u2019s nuclear programme took place in Geneva on Tuesday, with the US\ndelegation led by presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Iran represented\nby Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.<\/p>\n<p>On 4 February, Trump said that Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali\nKhamenei \u201cshould be very worried,\u201d whilst threatening to do \u201cvery bad\nthings\u201d to Iran should the country decide to continue its nuclear\nprogramme at a new facility.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Trump said that a \u201clarge armada\u201d was heading towards\nIran, whilst expressing hope that Tehran would agree to negotiate and\nsign a \u201cfair and equitable\u201d deal involving the complete cessation of\nnuclear weapons.<\/p>\n<p>The president warned that if no agreement on Iran\u2019s nuclear programme\nis reached, a US strike against the country would be \u201cfar worse\u201d than\nprevious attacks.<\/p>",
