Meanwhile, Iran said the Strait of Hormuz had\nbeen closed after a vessel sailing an unapproved route was attacked,\nwarning that any retaliatory action over the incident would be met with\na \u201charsh response.\u201d \u201cA vessel that endangered maritime security by\nswitching off its systems was attacked and stopped,\u201d the Islamic\nRevolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said in a statement.
