\u201cIndonesia calls on all parties to exercise restraint and prioritise\ndialogue and diplomacy,\u201d it continued.<\/p>\n
The Foreign Ministry emphasised the importance of respecting the\nsovereignty and territorial integrity of every nation, as well as the\nimportance of resolving differences through peaceful means.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Indonesian Government, specifically the President of the\nRepublic of Indonesia, has conveyed its readiness to facilitate dialogue\nto restore conducive security conditions, and if approved by both\nparties, the Indonesian President is willing to depart for Teheran to\nconduct mediation,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n
The Foreign Ministry warned that increased tensions in the Middle\nEast could potentially disrupt regional stability and global peace and\nsecurity. The Foreign Ministry also urged Indonesian nationals (WNI) in\nIran to remain calm.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndonesian nationals in affected areas are urged to remain calm,\nalert, follow the instructions of local authorities, and maintain\ncommunication with the nearest Indonesian diplomatic mission,\u201d it\nstated.<\/p>\n
In previous reporting, five cities were affected by attacks from\nIsrael and the US. Explosions were heard in the cities of Isfahan, Qom,\nKaraj, and Kermanshah, as well as in the capital Teheran.<\/p>\n
US President Donald Trump announced a military operation against Iran\nin a video statement. Trump described the US attack as a \u201cmassive and\nsustained\u201d operation to destroy Iranian missiles and the naval\nforces.<\/p>\n
He also stated that the operation was aimed at preventing Iran from\nthreatening the lives of American citizens.<\/p>\n
