        "content": "<p>\u201cDFC views Indonesia as an important partner in building more\nresilient, diversified, and secure supply chains across the\nIndo-Pacific,\u201d a DFC official said in a written response to ANTARA, as\nreceived here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The institution also regards Indonesia as a meaningful market for\npotential DFC and private sector-led investment, particularly in\ninfrastructure, energy, critical minerals, digital connectivity, and\nregional supply chain security.<\/p>\n<p>The DFC is the US government\u2019s development finance institution and a\nkey instrument of Washington\u2019s economic policy. The agency mobilizes\nprivate capital to support US foreign policy priorities and strategic\neconomic development.<\/p>\n<p>Following a recent congressional reauthorization, the DFC expanded\nits investment capacity from US$60 billion to US$205 billion.<\/p>\n<p>This expanded authority is expected to enable the agency to pursue a\nwider range of commercially viable investments, while simultaneously\nadvancing economic development and U.S. policy priorities.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, DFC Chief Policy Officer Caroline Vik visited Jakarta as\npart of her Southeast Asia tour that took place from June 19 to 25.<\/p>\n<p>During her visit, she met with a broad range of Indonesian leaders,\nfrom the private sector to the government.<\/p>\n<p>Their discussions focused on how the DFC can support Indonesia\u2019s\nenergy security through upstream exploration as well as midstream energy\nstorage and transportation infrastructure development.<\/p>\n<p>They also explored the potential for cooperation in the construction\nof new ports, initiatives to support the domestic mining and processing\nof critical minerals, and emerging opportunities in nuclear energy and\nfinancial services.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: US DFC eyes nuclear, finance investment in\nIndonesia<\/p>\n<p>Related news: Danantara, DFC explore cooperation for critical mineral\ninvestments<\/p>",
