        "content": "<p>Upset orangutan upsets campaign<\/p>\n<p>PURWOKERTO, Central Java: A stressed orangutan sporting an<br>\nIndonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI Perjuangan) cap<br>\nthrew a campaign event into disarray here over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands of the party&apos;s supporters were whiling away the<br>\nafternoon dancing to dangdut music on a soccer field when the<br>\nanimal darted across the field and climbed up a tree, proceeding<br>\nto shake the electrical wires running through it.<\/p>\n<p>Police came to the scene when the orangutan&apos;s owner, Ardjo,<br>\n40, was unable to recapture the animal. Ardjo said the orangutan<br>\nwas not used to the loud music and large crowd.<\/p>\n<p>Banyumas Police chief Lt. Col. Jhonny H. Hutauruk, who fielded<br>\n20 officers to handle the frightened primate, threatened to shoot<br>\nthe animal with a tranquilizer dart unless Ardjo could recapture<br>\nhis pet in 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, no shooting took place once the orangutan climbed<br>\ndown from the tree when Ardjo offered it two bananas.<\/p>\n<p>However, its hijinks caused an end to the festivities when<br>\nmost of the supporters left the field early.
