        "content": "<p>UPS eyes Indonesian deal<\/p>\n<p>HONG KONG (Reuters): United Parcel Service (UPS) expects to<br>\nfinalize its joint venture with Indonesia's PT Cardig Citra and<br>\nthe Salim group at the end of this month, UPS vice president for<br>\nAsia Pacific Charles Adams said.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will have 48 percent in the joint venture in Indonesia,\"<br>\nAdams said.<\/p>\n<p>UPS is also in the process of negotiating a joint venture with<br>\nIndia's Elbee Services.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have to work through the system in India and get<br>\napproval,\" Adams said.<\/p>\n<p>\"But we are optimistic that all of that will be approved and<br>\nwe should finalize in the second quarter this year.\"<\/p>\n<p>Negotiations for two more joint ventures in China are expected<br>\nto be completed by June, adding Shanghai and Guangzhou to an<br>\nexisting joint venture in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p>\"We believe we will have those completed by June this year,\"<br>\nAdams said. \"Those will be the three regional offices and then we<br>\nwill branch out of that.\"<\/p>",
