        "content": "<p>Upholding law<\/p>\n<p>From Sinar<\/p>\n<p>The Institution for Policy Research and Advocacy (Elsam) would<br>\nlike to express its deep concern over the way the government<br>\nhandled the July 27 riots. The various measures that have been<br>\ntaken, including the \"shoot-on-sight\" order, making arbitrary<br>\narrests, re-activation of the law on subversion etc., can<br>\nendanger the pillars of the nation which bases its authority on<br>\nlaw and respect of human rights.<\/p>\n<p>Based on these facts, Elsam suggests that the government<br>\nrespect the principles of law by withdrawing the re-application<br>\nof the subversion law, and handle the case according to the<br>\nprovisions of the Criminal Code.
