        "content": "<p>Jakarta, 14 March 2026 \u2013 A total of 459,570 vehicles were recorded\nleaving the Greater Jakarta area between 11-13 March 2026 (ten to eight\ndays before Eid) during the 2026 Eid holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>This figure represents the cumulative traffic flow from four major\ntoll gates: Cikampek Utama, Kalihurip Utama, Ciawi, and Cikupa.<\/p>\n<p>Jasa Marga Chief Executive Rivan A. Purwantono stated that the total\nvolume of traffic leaving the Greater Jakarta area increased 4.8 per\ncent compared to normal traffic of 439,342 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe distribution of traffic leaving Greater Jakarta heads in three\ndirections. The majority of 201,457 vehicles, or 43.8 per cent, head\neastbound towards Trans-Java and Bandung,\u201d said Rivan on Saturday, 14\nMarch 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic leaving Greater Jakarta towards Trans-Java via the Cikampek\nUtama toll gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek highway recorded 108,140\nvehicles, a 24.2 per cent increase compared to normal conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, traffic heading towards Bandung via the Kalihurip Utama\ntoll gate on the Cipularang highway recorded 93,317 vehicles, a 2.7 per\ncent decrease from normal conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic leaving Greater Jakarta towards Merak via the Cikupa toll\ngate on the Tangerang-Merak highway recorded 158,053 vehicles, a 6.0 per\ncent increase from normal.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Greater Jakarta towards\nPuncak via the Ciawi toll gate on the Jagorawi highway recorded 100,060\nvehicles, a 5.9 per cent decrease from normal conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically on 13 March 2026 (eight days before Eid), the traffic\nvolume leaving Greater Jakarta through the four major toll gates reached\n173,789 vehicles, a 7.9 per cent increase compared to normal traffic of\n161,064 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Rivan reminded that Jasa Marga will implement a 30 per\ncent toll tariff discount beginning Sunday, 15 March 2026 at 00.00 WIB\nuntil Monday, 16 March 2026 at 24.00 WIB (six to five days before Eid)\nfor two days during the homecoming peak period.<\/p>\n<p>This programme, he continued, represents the company\u2019s support for\nthe government\u2019s efforts to ensure smooth traffic flow during both the\nhomecoming and return journey for the 2026 Eid period whilst helping\ndistribute traffic more evenly.<\/p>",
