The number of victims of suspected mass food poisoning after\nconsuming meals from the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the\nManbaul Hikam Islamic Boarding School and several schools in\nTanggulangin, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, has now increased to 746\npeople.<\/p>\n
The Head of the Sidoarjo Regency Health Office, Dr Lakhsmita\nHerawati, stated that this figure represents the patient data collected\nby her office, including those admitted to hospitals and those who\nreported themselves while seeking treatment at various healthcare\nfacilities, such as private doctors, midwives, and community health\ncentres (Puskesmas).<\/p>\n
\u201cAn update on the food poisoning victims from the Manbaul Hikam\nIslamic Boarding School who experienced symptoms and received medical\ntreatment at healthcare facilities: there are a total of 746 patients,\u201d\nLakhsmita said when confirmed on Friday (4\/9).<\/p>\n
Of that total, Lakhsmita detailed that 23 patients are still\nhospitalised, while the remaining 723 patients have been discharged for\noutpatient care.<\/p>\n
\u201cCurrently, the latest data shows that 23 people are still\nhospitalised. Meanwhile, 7ly3 patients are now under outpatient care,\u201d\nshe added.<\/p>\n
As previously reported, hundreds of students from the Manbaul Hikam\nIslamic Boarding School and pupils from 19 schools in the Kalitengah\narea, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency, are suspected of mass\nfood poisoning after consuming the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG).<\/p>\n
