        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - The number of holiday travellers using public transport has\nbeen recorded at 7.7 million people, precisely 7,753,476 individuals.\nThis figure represents the cumulative passenger movement from H-8 to H-3\nof this year\u2019s Eid. The Head of the Transport Safety and Security Policy\nCentre at the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), who also serves as\nChair of the Daily Post for Eid Transport 2026, Bernadette Endah Sekar\nMayashanti, stated that the number of travellers has risen by 10.95\npercent compared to the same period last Eid. She noted that the\nincrease occurred across nearly all modes of transport. However, rail\ntransport recorded the highest surge of 15.25 percent compared to last\nyear. Meanwhile, ferry transport increased by 13.40 percent, followed by\nroad transport which rose by 7.64 percent. In addition to passenger\nmovement, there has also been an increase in vehicle traffic on toll\nroads. Based on H-3 data, the number of vehicles exiting the Jakarta\ntoll gates rose by 4.35 percent compared to last year, while vehicles\nentering increased by 14.24 percent. The movement of vehicles entering\nand exiting the Jabodetabek toll gates was recorded to have risen by\n0.97 percent. However, she warned of the potential for high waves in\nseveral water areas. \u201cBased on BMKG data, although relatively safe,\nthere are areas with wave heights reaching 2.5 to 4 metres.
