Compiled by detikcom on Thursday, 28 May 2026, here\nare the notable incidents:<\/p>\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li>Uproar Over \u2018Flying\u2019 Sacrificial Cow in Klaten<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A sacrificial cow caused panic among residents of Dukuh Krenekan\nvillage in Klepu, Ceper subdistrict, Klaten, Central Java, after\nappearing to take flight. It transpired the animal had broken free and\nwas later rescued using a crane. \u2018The cow was tied to a guava tree, but\nthe front wasn\u2019t secured tightly while the back was pulled,\u2019 said local\nresident Mukhson Huda, as reported by detikJateng on Wednesday (27 May).\nMr Huda said the incident occurred around 10:00 WIB. Despite the\ncommotion, the cow was eventually slaughtered. He stated the cow\nstruggled fiercely, causing the neck rope to snap. Residents attempted\nto chase and tie it to a metal frame tent, which nearly collapsed. \u2018The\nframe was pulled and nearly collapsed. The cow ran half a kilometre,\ncircling the field until exhausted,\u2019 Mukhson added. After the cow\nstopped, residents were unable to move it to the slaughter site west of\nBaitul Muttaqin Mosque. The incident occurred around\n04:00 WIB. Panicked residents released the rope tied to its horns. As a\nresult, the cow escaped through a drain and crossed the main road in the\nBomang area (Bojonggede-Kemang). The cow ran 500 metres from the musalla\nacross a housing area via a drain, then became trapped inside and unable\nto climb out. \u2018Due to concern and panic, the report was made to the\nDisdamkar Rescue Parung team for evacuation,\u2019 he said.
