The Chairman of the Universitas Padjaddaran Alumni Association (IKA\nUnpad), Ferry Juliantono, has set a target for Unpad to become the\nfifth-best university in Indonesia and join the ranks of the top 300\nuniversities in the world. This commitment was announced during the 2026\nGrand Alumni Reunion \u2018Homecoming Festival - Returning to Jatinangor,\nReturning to Identity\u2019 held at the Unpad Campus Red Field, Jatinangor,\non Saturday (19\/9).<\/p>\n
In his address, Ferry emphasised that he would unite all the\npotential and strength of the alumni to assist Unpad in achieving this\ntarget. The series of activities was also enlivened by the Jatinangor\nMusic Fest, featuring several well-known bands.<\/p>\n
Ferry invited all alumni to continue contributing to the progress of\nUnpad, expressing his belief that alumni support can enhance the\ncampus\u2019s reputation at both national and global levels.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe ask for everyone\u2019s prayers and support; Unpad\u2019s current position\nin Indonesia is sixth. Let us fight together so that our beloved Unpad\ncan rise to the top 300 in the world and become one of the five best\nuniversities in Indonesia within the next one to two years,\u201d Ferry\nstated in a written release on Sunday (20\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
He expressed his appreciation to the entire committee, the IKA Unpad\nmanagement, and all related parties for the successful and festive\nexecution of the IKA Unpad Anniversary peak event. Ferry hopes that\nsimilar events can be organised in the coming years with even greater\nfanfare.<\/p>\n
According to reports from the West Java Regional Police, the number\nof attendees reached approximately 15,000 people, crowding the event\narea from afternoon until night. Given the high level of interest, IKA\nUnpad and the university authorities are exploring the possibility of\nmaking the Jatinaring Music Fest an annual event as part of the\nUniversitas Padjadjaran Anniversary celebrations.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Head of the Alumni Partnership and Endowment Fund\nOffice at Universitas Padjadjaran, Prita Amalia, stated that the grand\nreunion and music festival were designed as a platform for alumni to\nreturn to campus, strengthen ties, and receive the latest information\nregarding Unpad\u2019s development.<\/p>\n
Prita added that the committee would prepare even better and more\nfestive events in the future to ensure a positive experience for both\nalumni and the academic community. She also commended the direct\ninvolvement of Ferry and the IKA Unpad committee in the long-term\npreparations.<\/p>\n
