Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM) held a \u2018Come to Company\u2019 event to\nexplore technological cooperation with the Open Source Community\nFoundation in East Jakarta on Tuesday (15\/09\/2026). The visit focused on\nexploring the KNIME Community Indonesia to strengthen learning in the\nfields of Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n
The UNM delegation, led by the Head of NEX.AI, Dr Ali Khumaudii, was\npersonally welcomed by the Founder of the Open Source Foundation, Arief\nRama Syarif. The forum featured knowledge-sharing sessions and in-depth\ndiscussions regarding the use of the KNIME Analytics Platform as a\nsupporting tool for student teaching materials.<\/p>\n
The use of such analytical technology is increasingly relevant given\nthat UNM\u2019s Data Science Study Programme has achieved \u2018Unggul\u2019\n(Excellent) accreditation. As a Digital Business Campus, UNM seeks to\nenrich the academic process for students through sustainable synergy\nwith practitioners and technology communities.<\/p>\n
Dr Ali Khumaudii, Head of NEX.AI at Universitas Nusa Mandiri, stated\nthat this collaboration is a strategic step in building an adaptive\nlearning ecosystem.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe see that KNIME has very good potential to support the Data and AI\nlearning process at Universitas Nusa Mandiri. Through a more practical\nand workflow-based approach, students will not only learn the concepts\nof data processing and analysis but can also directly explore how this\ntechnology is used to solve various real-world problems,\u201d said Dr Ali in\na release received on Thursday (17\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
He added that community involvement will provide valuable practical\nexperience for student portfolios. This visit is expected to progress to\nthe implementation stage of programmes such as workshops, project-based\nlearning, and competency training.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Founder of the Open Source Foundation and a KNIME\nCertified Trainer & Contributor, Arief Rama Syarif, shared his\nexperience in managing various national and international analytical\nprojects. He welcomed the plan for academic synergy to encourage the\nopen mastery of digital technology.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope today\u2019s discussion marks the beginning of a broader\ncollaboration to provide Data and AI learning that is increasingly\npractical, open, and relevant for students,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
