Statistics Indonesia (BPS)\nrecorded an open unemployment rate for higher education graduates\n(Diploma IV, Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s, and Doctoral degrees) of 6.23 percent\nin February 2025. The government also noted that approximately 1.01\nmillion university graduates have not yet been absorbed by the\nworkforce. This situation underscores the importance of strengthening\nthe link between higher education institutions and the needs of the\nbusiness and industrial sectors through adaptive, competency-based\neducation with international networks. Binawan University believes this\nchallenge must be addressed by enhancing graduate quality, collaborating\nwith industry, and opening career access to a global level. During its\n25th Dies Natalis celebration, themed \u2018Anchored in Akhlaq, Driven by\nDigital Innovation, Positioned for the World\u2019, the university affirmed\nits commitment to building higher education that not only produces\ncompetent graduates but also those ready to compete in the international\njob market. Based on a tracer study, 93 percent of Binawan University\ngraduates obtained employment within less than six months after\ngraduation. This achievement is supported by more than 100 active\ncollaborations with universities, hospitals, government institutions,\nprofessional organisations, and industry partners both domestically and\nabroad. These collaborations form the foundation for developing\nindustry-based curricula, improving research quality, facilitating\nacademic exchanges, and expanding career access for students and alumni.\nThe international network is also reflected in the achievements of its\nalumni. To date, more than 2,000 Binawan University alumni have worked\nin various countries, primarily as professional nursing staff in\nAustralia, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. In 2026, the university\nwill again send alumni to work in Austria and Australia as part of\nefforts to expand job opportunities for Indonesian professionals in the\nglobal market. In addition to strengthening graduate competitiveness,\nBinawan University is also enhancing its academic capacity. In 2026, the\nuniversity achieved the Main Cluster designation for Research and\nInnovation Capacity and added seven doctoral degree lecturers to\nstrengthen the quality of education and research.
