        "content": "<p>University entry test unchanged<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: There will be no significant change to the upcoming<br>\nstate university admittance tests compared with previous ones,<br>\napart from changes to the examination committee.<\/p>\n<p>Rector of Jakarta State University (UNJ) Sutjipto told The<br>\nJakarta Post on Thursday that, as in the past, the university<br>\nentrance test, slated to take place simultaneously on July 2 and<br>\nJuly 3, would be jointly organized by all 46 universities across<br>\nthe country.<\/p>\n<p>But unlike in the past, each university would be allowed to<br>\nname its own team to carry out the test, without having to report<br>\nit to the Ministry of National Education.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Minister of National Education A. Malik<br>\nFadjar issued a decree that terminated the national university<br>\nentrance test (UMPTN) in a bid to allow free competition between<br>\nsenior high school graduates. But rectors of the state<br>\nuniversities objected to the decision.<\/p>\n<p>For the upcoming test, an application form for nature study or<br>\nsocial sciences costs Rp 75,000 while a mixed-major form costs Rp<br>\n95,000. Applicants may obtain the forms individually or<br>\ncollectively through their schools, from June 17 through June 28.<br>\n--JP<\/p>",
