        "content": "<p>PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) recorded a 14.1% growth in net\nprofit from continuing operations, reaching Rp 1.3 trillion throughout\nthe first quarter of 2026. President Director of Unilever Indonesia,\nBenjie Yap, stated that this profit growth was supported by improved\nsales performance during the period. \u201cUnilever recorded domestic sales\ngrowth of 3.5%, with underlying volume growth of 2.1%. As a result, the\ncompany\u2019s net sales grew 2.8% to Rp 8.4 trillion in the first quarter of\n2026,\u201d said Benjie in his statement on Thursday, 30 April 2026.\nMeanwhile, the gross margin was recorded at 48.2%, or a decrease of 18\nbasis points compared to the previous year. However, excluding\ntransformation costs, the gross margin remained strong at 48.8%.\nFurthermore, profit before tax from continuing operations showed an\nincrease of 18.9%, or up 167 basis points compared to the same period\nlast year. Therefore, Benjie stated that the company is on a positive\nadvancement path, reflected in the improving company fundamentals in the\nfirst half of 2026. \u201cOur first quarter 2026 results mark an important\nstep to continue progressing, reflecting the momentum built throughout\n2025,\u201d said Benjie.
