The case of the death of a bank branch head in Jakarta, M Ilham\nPradipta (37), has entered a new phase. Three TNI soldiers are now on\ntrial at the Military Court (Dilmil) II-08 Jakarta.<\/p>\n
During the proceedings, the panel of judges at Dilmil II-08 Jakarta\nhighlighted differences in the uniform sleeve usage among the three TNI\nsoldiers who are the defendants. The judge requested that all three wear\nthe same uniform.<\/p>\n
Presiding Judge Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto questioned the\ninconsistency during the examination of the defendants\u2019 identities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy is this different? One has long sleeves, the other two have\ntheir sleeves rolled up,\u201d said Fredy in the courtroom at Military Court\nII-08 Jakarta, Cakung, East Jakarta, as reported by Antara on Monday\n(6\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
The three defendants are Serka Mochamad Nasir (MN) as defendant 1;\nKopda Feri Herianto (FH) as defendant 2; and Serka Frengky Yaru (FY) as\ndefendant 3. They appeared wearing field service uniforms (PDL) of the\nTNI, but there were differences in how they wore the shirt sleeves.<\/p>\n
Serka M Nasir and Kopda Feri appeared to have their uniform sleeves\nrolled up, while Serka Frengky wore the PDL uniform with full-length\nsleeves unrolled and also wore a cap. This difference was then\nquestioned by the panel of judges.<\/p>\n
Defendant 3, Frengky, explained that wearing the uniform with\nunrolled sleeves is a habit in daily task execution. He stated that the\nattributes worn were in accordance with service regulations.<\/p>\n
The defendants\u2019 legal counsel also mentioned the latest regulations\nwithin the Special Forces Command (Kopassus) environment regarding the\nuse of PDL uniforms without rolling up the sleeves.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, according to the latest regulations, PDL uniforms are not\nrolled up,\u201d said the legal counsel in front of the panel of judges.<\/p>\n
The judge considered uniformity important in the trial because all\nthree defendants come from the same institution. Fredy reminded them to\nadjust the use of attributes in the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy are they different? Aren\u2019t they still detained together? If\npossible, make their clothing uniform,\u201d said the Judge.<\/p>\n
Head of the Military Prosecutor\u2019s Office (Kaotmil) II-07 Jakarta,\nAndri Wijaya, stated that not all defendants are in the same detention.\nAndri said defendant 3, Frengky, is not detained, hence the difference\nin uniform usage compared to the other two defendants.<\/p>\n
Defendants 1 and 2 then lowered their sleeve lengths so that all\nthree defendants were once again uniform in their uniform usage.<\/p>\n
Charged with Premeditated Murder<\/p>\n
The three TNI soldiers are charged with premeditated murder of M\nIlham Pradipta, who was the branch head of a bank in Central Jakarta\n(Jakpus). They are said to have roles in the loss of M Ilham Pradipta\u2019s\nlife.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat the actions of the defendants in forcibly taking the late\nMohamad Ilham Pradipta and carrying out beatings that resulted in the\nlate\u2019s death is an act unworthy of TNI soldiers,\u201d said Military\nProsecutor Major Chk Wasinton Marpaung at Military Court II-08\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
The Military Prosecutor has compiled layered charges against the\ndefendants. In the primary charge, all three are indicted under Article\n340 of the Criminal Code for premeditated murder. As subsidiary charges,\nthey are indicted under Article 338 of the Criminal Code for murder and\nassault causing death as regulated in Article 351 paragraph (3) of the\nCriminal Code.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe defendants are charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code jo\nArticle 55 paragraph (1) first of the Criminal Code as the primary\ncharge. Subsidiary Article 338 of the Criminal Code, further subsidiary\nArticle 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code. Or Article 333 paragraph\n(3) of the Criminal Code,\u201d explained Wasinton.<\/p>\n
In addition, specifically for defendant Serka Mochamad Nasir, the\nProsecutor also includes an additional charge regarding concealing or\ndisposing of the victim\u2019s body as in Article 181 of the Criminal\nCode.<\/p>\n
Roles of the 3 TNI Soldiers<\/p>\n
Presiding Judge Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto revealed the\nroles of the three TNI personnel in this case. They are said to have\ndifferent roles related to the death of M Ilham Pradipta.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the charge, it is concluded that defendant one planned the\nkidnapping, instructed defendant two to carry out the kidnapping, pulled\nthe victim when transferred from the Avanza vehicle with plate A 1374\nFOA to a black Toyota Fortuner with plate B 1706 ZCC, carried out\nassault on the victim, and received 50 million rupiah,\u201d said Presiding\nJudge Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto.<\/p>\n
He stated that defendant 1, Serka Nasir, stepped on the victim\u2019s\nshoulder, pulled the head, and dragged the victim to be dumped in the\nbushes.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, defendant two, Kopda Feri, played a role in preparing and\nfinding the kidnapping team, consisting of witnesses 8, 9, 10, 11, and\n12. Kopda Feri is also said to have monitored the kidnapping activities\nand was at the kidnapping location during the handover of the victim to\ndefendant one.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd received 40 million rupiah,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, defendant 3, Serka Frengky, based on the charge file, has\ninvolvement almost the same as Kopda Feri. However, there is a\ndifference in the amount of money received.<\/p>\n
\u201cDefendant 3 knew about the plan to take the victim, was at the\nkidnapping location as well as during the handover of the victim to\ndefendant one, and knew about the handover of the victim from witness\neight to defendant one and witness five, and received one million\nrupiah,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
M Ilham Pradipta is suspected to be the victim of kidnapping and\nmurder at one of the shopping centres in Ciracas, East Jakarta, on 20\nAugust 2025.
