        "content": "<p>Penajam Paser Utara - The United Nations Department of Safety and\nSecurity (UNDSS) has expressed interest in the development of the\nNusantara Capital City (IKN) in parts of Penajam Paser Utara Regency and\nKutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province, opening\nopportunities for cooperation with the international community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUNDSS is interested in the development of IKN and future cooperation\nopportunities,\u201d said Security Adviser and Representative of UNDSS to\nIndonesia and Timor-Leste, Allan Mendoza, when providing an explanation\nduring a visit to IKN in Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>UNDSS is interested in various developments occurring in IKN and will\nfollow up on the survey conducted by the diplomatic community in\nIndonesia\u2019s new capital last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIKN authorities are very open and are expected to open opportunities\nfor collaboration with the international community,\u201d said Allan\nMendoza.<\/p>\n<p>UNDSS is part of the United Nations Secretariat tasked with\ncoordinating safety and security aspects for all UN entities\nglobally.<\/p>\n<p>The visit serves as an initial momentum to open dialogue between IKN\nauthorities and the UN, while strengthening the position of Indonesia\u2019s\nnew capital as an area open to global collaboration in the future.<\/p>\n<p>In the future, he said, development will focus on the judicial and\nlegislative zones as part of the long-term construction phases.<\/p>\n<p>Basuki stated that IKN development consists of five stages from 2022\nto 2045, and is currently preparing to complete all core government\noffice developments, followed by a focus next year on the judicial and\nlegislative zones, which have already begun.<\/p>",
