Undisciplined bus crew<\/p>\n

It seems that the government's national discipline drive has
\nnot produced the desired results. It is not surprising as
\nIndonesians are only half-hearted in supporting the campaign.
\nEven civil servants who are expected to be the backbone of the
\ndrive fail to act as they should.<\/p>\n
I am a witness to the undisciplined behavior of a PPD bus
\nconductor serving on line 41 which plies the Kampung Rambutan-
\nKota route.<\/p>\n
When I stopped the bus and asked which way it was going, the
\nconductor replied that the end stop was Kota. That meant that I
\ncould take that bus because I had to go to the Glodok area.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, after observing the many empty seats on the
\nbus, the driver called for a different route, thereby skipping
\nthe Kota route altogether.<\/p>\n
When we passed Gambir railway station and the conductor saw
\nbunches of people waiting for transport, he did not hesitate to
\ntout for Grogol-bound passengers.<\/p>\n
His act certainly did not reflect the image of a disciplined
\nsoul. The sudden change of route shows disrespect for passengers,
\nnot to mention loss and inconvenience as a direct result of such
\nbehavior. Most bus passengers cannot afford to stretch their
\ntransportation budget. When they are told to get off before their
\ndestination, they will have a problem.<\/p>\n
I am appealing to the authorities to do something about the
\nproblem. It is not the first time that PPD 41 bus crews have
\nresorted to such practices. They are profit hunters while
\nignoring other people's concerns.<\/p>\n
