        "content": "<p>Dozens of UMKM stalls in the Teras Udayana area, Mataram City, West\nNusa Tenggara (NTB), are not operating. The building facilities, with a\nbudget of Rp 1.6 billion, are now left idle. Observations by detikBali\nshow the stalls, each measuring 4x4 metres, appear unoccupied. Some\nstalls look dirty and are starting to deteriorate due to neglect. Head\nof Mataram City Trade Service (Disdag), Irwan Harimansyah, confirmed\nthat the dozen stalls have not been utilised by the UMKM operators. He\nsaid the city government is re-developing the area. \u201cThey used to be\nopened ceremonially, but now it\u2019s quiet. We are redesigning\/renovating\nthis area,\u201d he told reporters on Tuesday (19 May 2026). \u201cWe haven\u2019t\ncollected any retribution yet because the stalls have not yet been able\nto be used to their full potential.\u201d He said he has summoned several\ntraders who had occupied UMKM stalls when the facilities were\ninaugurated. The summons is expected to provide solutions so the area\ncan become active again. \u201cWe will also coordinate and sit down with the\nTourism Department, Transportation Department, and the Environment\nAgency (DLH),\u201d he added. He did not know the exact reason UMKM operators\nhave stopped using the facilities, but they want more events to be held\nat Teras Udayana. \u201cWe are giving them three months to discuss. They want\nevents (to attract crowds). For events, we will work with Dispar,\u201d he\nconcluded.<\/p>",
