        "content": "<p>The need to enhance the competencies of vocational teachers continues\nto grow in line with changes in industry and technology. Universities\nare beginning to promote the strengthening of teachers\u2019 capacities\nthrough international collaborations.<\/p>\n<p>Universitas Mercu Buana (UMB) together with Universiti Sains Malaysia\n(USM) held a training session for 60 accounting teachers from vocational\nhigh schools across Tangerang City at the UMB campus in West Jakarta on\nFriday (24\/4\/2026). The event involved teachers who are members of the\nTangerang City Accounting MGMP.<\/p>\n<p>This PKM activity was led by a team of lecturers from the Accounting\nDepartment of UMB\u2019s Faculty of Economics and Business, assisted by S1\nAccounting students. The training discussed global issues such as\ntaxation, auditing, green accounting, and the utilisation of artificial\nintelligence in research.<\/p>\n<p>The event was packaged in the form of workshops and case discussions\nto strengthen practical understanding. \u201cInternational collaborations\nlike this bring the global perspectives that are very much needed in\nvocational accounting education, so that teachers can equip students\nwith competencies relevant to the current business and industrial\nworld,\u201d said Deputy Dean, School of Management, Universiti Sains\nMalaysia, Abdul Hadi Zulkafi.<\/p>\n<p>The materials provided covered the preparation of financial reports\nbased on SAK EMKM, the latest tax regulations, and applicable audit\nconcepts. Participants also received an introduction to sustainable\naccounting practices and action research based on AI.<\/p>\n<p>The organisers hope that this training will strengthen the role of\nteachers in preparing students to face the working world and\nprofessional certifications. The event also serves as a space for\nsharing experiences among teachers in the MGMP community.<\/p>",
