        "content": "<p>Uluwatu temple struck by lightning<\/p>\n<p>DENPASAR, Bali: Despite being equipped with a lightning<br>\namulet, a holy three-story structure in the Luhur Uluwatu temple<br>\nin the southern peninsula of Bali Island was struck by lightning<br>\nduring recent heavy downpours.<\/p>\n<p>One of the nine pillars in the northeastern wing of the<br>\nstructure was charred in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>It was the second incident after lightning devastated a number<br>\nof holy structures in the Luhur Uluwatu temple on October 24,<br>\n1996.<\/p>\n<p>The destroyed buildings were later rebuilt with lightning rods<br>\ninstalled there.
