"summary": "European leaders, led by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, have called for the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz following a ceasefire, announcing a multinational mission spearheaded by Britain and France to protect maritime navigation and ensure commercial shipping safety. The initiative, described as purely peaceful and defensive, aims to secure the strategic waterway amid regional tensions that previously disrupted global oil, gas, and fertiliser supplies, with over 12 countries ready to contribute assets. This development underscores the international push for unrestricted access to vital trade routes, rejecting any restrictions or privatisation attempts, as Iran confirms the strait is now open via designated routes after US and Israeli strikes.",
