        "content": "<p>Ibra Maulana (23), a suspect in the embezzlement of 40 motorcycles\nbelonging to campus friends, was a student at UIN Walisongo, Semarang,\nCentral Java. Ibra has now been officially sanctioned with expulsion\n(drop-out\/DO) by the university for committing a serious violation. The\nsanction was announced by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni,\nand Cooperation at UIN Walisongo Semarang, Umul Baroroh. She also stated\nthat Ibra had not paid his tuition fees (UKT) for two semesters. \u201cThe\nindividual has been officially expelled for committing a serious ethical\nviolation. Based on academic tracing, the person in question had indeed\nbeen inactive and had not paid UKT for two consecutive semesters,\u201d\nBaroroh said in a written statement received on Wednesday (10\/6\/2026).\nMargono, from the Academic and Student Affairs Department at UIN\nWalisongo, explained that the internal disciplinary process against\nIbra, who was also an active member of the Student Senate, was carried\nout in a measured manner through an ethics hearing before the final\ndecision was taken. Margono stated that the first report was received by\nthe Student Affairs Department on 22 May 2026 from one of the student\nvictims. Following up on the report, the university immediately moved to\nform an investigation team on 25 May 2026. \u201cThe investigation team\nworked intensively from 25 to 28 May 2026 to gather evidence and delve\ninto the case. Before the expulsion decision was issued, we first held\nan Ethics Hearing,\u201d said Margono. During this process, it was also\nrevealed that Ibra had disappeared for four semesters. Margono learned\nthis from Ibra\u2019s academic advisor. \u201cFrom further tracking, the relevant\nacademic advisor also confirmed that the individual had disappeared for\nfour semesters and had never attended academic supervision,\u201d Margono\nrevealed. Margono stated that Ibra was officially given a severe\nacademic sanction in the form of dismissal or expulsion as a student of\nUIN Walisongo on 29 May 2026. The imposition of this sanction was based\non the Rector\u2019s Decree Number 648 of 2024, Chapter 5 concerning Student\nDiscipline, Point D.<\/p>",
