UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has denied accusations of thuggery in\nthe dispute with SD\/TK Islam Pembangunan (TKIP) in Pamulang, South\nTangerang.<\/p>\n
UIN said the people present during the incident were part of its\ninternal security team. Their arrival was claimed to be aimed at keeping\nthe situation conducive and not disrupting teaching and learning\nactivities.<\/p>\n
Vice Rector II of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Imam Subchi, said\nthe university deliberately visited the location at night so as not to\ndisturb school activities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is completely wrong, not true. We came at night because we\nwanted to avoid and not disrupt teaching and learning activities,\u201d Imam\nsaid at a press conference on Wednesday (26\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to Imam, some of the personnel also wore plain clothes.\nThis, he said, was done so that their presence would not create an\nimpression of intimidation towards the school environment.<\/p>\n
Imam assured that teaching and learning activities at TKIP and SDIP\ncontinue to run normally.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom today, teaching and learning activities are normal. Today there\nare no problems,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Previously, parents and guardians of students at Sekolah Dasar Islam\nPlus (SDIP) and Taman Kanak-Kanak Islam Plus (TKIP) in Pamulang, South\nTangerang, Banten, asked the parties disputing the land to exercise\nrestraint while awaiting a legally binding court ruling.<\/p>\n
They stressed that this was to ensure the teaching and learning\nactivities of their children there were not disrupted.<\/p>\n
The request was made following the conflict between the foundation\nand UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, or UIN Jakarta, over land ownership in\nrecent times. The course of the land dispute, which has led to actions\non the ground, was considered by parents to be affecting the school\nenvironment.<\/p>\n
Parents then encouraged both parties to agree on a number of points\nto ensure the teaching and learning process remains conducive.<\/p>\n
One SDIP parent, Dedi Setiawan, said on Monday (24\/08) that parents\ndid not question who would eventually be legally entitled to manage the\nschool. According to him, parents would accept a court decision that has\npermanent legal force.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom the parents\u2019 perspective, we ask both parties in the dispute,\nin this case the foundation, to exercise restraint until a valid legal\ndecision is obtained,\u201d Dedi said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe parents will accept whichever party the foundation is,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, alumni urged the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif\nHidayatullah, or UIN Jakarta, not to use intimidation or alleged\nthuggery in dealing with the land dispute case involving the TK Islam\nPembangunan (TKIP) and SD Islam Pembangunan (SDIP) education complex in\nPamulang, South Tangerang, Banten.<\/p>\n
Through a statement of position they issued, the alumni group of the\ncampus under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs asked UIN\nJakarta to stop the alleged thuggish methods in the case.<\/p>\n
This is because alleged thuggery and intimidation are considered to\ndisrupt the teaching and learning process, especially the safety of\nchildren.<\/p>\n
