        "content": "<p>Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Ar-Raniry Banda\nAceh has stated its readiness to become a pioneer in implementing the\nHalal, Safe, and Healthy Culinary Zone (KHAS) within higher education\nenvironments in Aceh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe designation of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh as a location for\ndeveloping the KHAS Zone represents a strategic step in building a halal\necosystem within the academic environment and strengthening its position\nas a leading sharia-based campus,\u201d said the Rector of UIN Ar-Raniry,\nProf Mujiburrahman, in Banda Aceh on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the development of the KHAS Zone will focus on\ncanteens and strategic campus areas, considering aspects of feasibility,\ncleanliness, and ease of access for the academic community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not just a programme, but part of strengthening UIN\nAr-Raniry\u2019s identity as an Islamic-based campus integrated with sharia\neconomic practices,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Executive Director of the Aceh Sharia Economy and Finance\nCommittee (KDEKS), Prof Syahrizal Abbas, stated that UIN Ar-Raniry has\nsignificant potential to become a model for KHAS Zone development in\nAceh.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUIN possesses academic strengths and resources that support the\ndevelopment of a halal ecosystem, including study programmes related to\nthe halal industry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the KHAS Zone is a national programme aimed at\nensuring that products and services in a particular area meet integrated\nhalal, safe, and healthy standards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis can serve as a living laboratory for students in developing the\nsharia economy, while also promoting the digitalisation of transactions\nthrough QRIS,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>UIN Ar-Raniry is expected not only to be an implementer but also a\nrole model for KHAS Zone development at regional and national\nlevels.<\/p>\n<p>The declaration of commitment for KHAS Zone development in higher\neducation environments is scheduled to take place as part of the Road to\nAceh Sharia Economic Festival in late April 2026.<\/p>",
