        "content": "<p>Through adaptive pentahelix synergy, UI and its partners have\ndemonstrated that measurable community service can bring fundamental\nchange to public health and welfare. The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) at\nUniversitas Indonesia (UI) has reaffirmed its commitment to community\nservice through the \u201cFKG UI Community Service Real Action\u201d programme in\nKampung Ilmu, Tegalwaru, Purwakarta, West Java. \u201cThis programme proves\nthat community service does not stop at medical services alone, but must\ntransform into a multidisciplinary movement that is data-based and\nrooted in the real needs of the community. Through cross-faculty synergy\nand community support, we want to ensure that stunting and oral health\ninterventions can run sustainably, while producing a model for fostered\nvillages that becomes a national exemplar,\u201d said FKG UI Dean Prof.\u00a0Lisa\nRinanda Amir in Depok on Thursday. Five years of consistency in Kampung\nIlmu Purwakarta has produced a new fostered village pilot model, proving\nthat measured community service can bring fundamental change to public\nhealth and welfare. Entering its fifth year, this agenda is no longer\nmerely an annual social service event but has evolved into a stage for\ndata-based innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration to answer\npublic health challenges, carrying the grand mission of meeting the\nSustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG number 2 (Zero\nHunger), number 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and number 4 (Quality\nEducation). In implementing this community service, FKG coordinated with\nthe Directorate of Community Service and Social Innovation (DPIS) and\ncollaborated with four other faculties: the Faculty of Medicine (FK),\nthe Faculty of Nursing (FIK), the Faculty of Economics and Business\n(FEB), and the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom). This\ncross-institutional and interdisciplinary synergy produced two\nprogrammes for implementation: the formulation of the \u201cStunting\nIntervention Triangle\u201d and a \u201cStrategy for Responding to Fluctuations in\nOral Diseases.\u201d Data from Tegalwaru Community Health Centre showed that\noral diseases once ranked 6th among the top 10 diseases in 2023, with\n876 cases. Intensive intervention by FKG UI succeeded in reducing this\nfigure until it dropped out of the top 10 list in 2024. However, in 2025\ncases reappeared in 8th place with 463 cases, nearly half the initial\nfigure. \u201cThis fluctuation phenomenon prompted the UI team to reformulate\na more precise, adaptive, and long-term oriented strategy so that cases\ndo not spike again,\u201d said Lisa. The formulation of the \u201cStunting\nIntervention Triangle\u201d serves as the main driving force in this fifth\nyear\u2019s real action, advancing three approaches: health, economic, and\ncommunity. The health approach is carried out through comprehensive\nscreening of pregnant women and toddlers by a joint team from FKG, FK,\nand FIK UI. Oral and dental disorders that affect children\u2019s nutritional\nintake are also treated alongside FK UI obstetrics specialists and the\nFIK UI family nursing team. Meanwhile, the economic approach is filled\nby FEB UI through food security and family financial management\nworkshops, ensuring parents can maintain purchasing power for nutritious\nfood. The community approach involves training local volunteers from\nKampung Ilmu and Community Health Centre health cadres to conduct\nindependent monitoring, ensuring early detection of stunting and dental\nhealth remains sustainable. The real community service action is driven\nby 130 personnel, consisting of undergraduate students, professional\nstudents, specialist residents, lecturers, and clinical teaching doctors\nfrom FKG UI, reinforced by FK UI PPDS students, FIK UI lecturers, 9\npersonnel from the R.E. Martadinata Dental Laboratory (LADOKGI), and 5\npersonnel from the FKG UI Alumni Association (ILUNI). The direct impact\nof this real action was felt by 1,403 beneficiaries, including students\nfrom SDN 01 Cisarua (155 students, 12 teachers), SDN 02 Cisarua (299\nstudents, 15 teachers), SDN 03 Cisarua (69 students, 8 teachers), SMPN\n03 Tegalwaru (287 students, 25 teachers), as well as hundreds of\nstudents from SMKN Tegalwaru, groups of pregnant women, Community Health\nCentre health workers, and local volunteers. Universitas Indonesia\naffirmed its commitment to continuously carry out community service as\nan embodiment of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.<\/p>",
