        "content": "<p>UI students to block Depok campus<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Members of the University of Indonesia's Student<br>\nExecutive Body (BEM UI) plan to block all entrances to their<br>\ncampus in Depok, West Java, starting Monday, until the university<br>\nchanges its current admission requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have tried to negotiate with the rector, and held peaceful<br>\nprotests outside the psychology studies building since July 28,<br>\nbut there has been no response from the management,\" BEM activist<br>\nWirna said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Rector Chatib Usman Warsa imposed admission fees of Rp 25<br>\nmillion (US$2,808) on students who had been selected to study<br>\nmedicine, dentistry, engineering and computer science. However,<br>\nthey don't  have to undergo an admission test.<\/p>\n<p>Wirna said only 249 out of 276 selected students had paid the<br>\nadmission fee, while the remaining had canceled their study plans<br>\nfor financial reasons. -- Antara<\/p>",
