Yogyakarta - The Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Gadjah Mada\n(UGM) in Yogyakarta has established a collaboration with the\nInternational College of Maejo University in Thailand, as an effort to\nstrengthen global networks in enhancing the quality of research or\nstudies.<\/p>\n
Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science at UGM, Prof Budi Guntoro, in\nhis statement in Yogyakarta on Sunday, said that the research\ncollaboration was strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of\nAgreement (MoA) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a few days ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis collaboration not only expands international networks but also\nserves as a concrete step to improve the quality of research and\nscientific publications,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the collaboration is not merely ceremonial but is\ndirectly implemented through collaborative research involving lecturers\nand researchers from both institutions.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope that the results of this joint research can provide real\ncontributions to the development of animal science, particularly in\naddressing global challenges such as food security and sustainable\nagriculture,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He stated that one concrete form of this MoA is the implementation of\njoint research supported by UGM\u2019s IJRA Equity grants.<\/p>\n
In addition, he said, the MoA is also part of efforts to\ninternationalise higher education.<\/p>\n
