Research no longer runs within the confines of the campus. In an era\nof rapid technological development, cross-border collaboration has\nbecome one of the keys to delivering innovation capable of answering the\nneeds of industry and society.<\/p>\n
That spirit has been realised by Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika\n(UBSI) through the success of one of its lecturers in passing selection\nfor the Impactful Diaspora Programme (Diaspora Research Mobility Grant)\n2026, organised by the Directorate for Research and Development Talent\nDevelopment, Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry\nof Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek).<\/p>\n
Under the programme, Dr Ir Taufik Baidawi, a lecturer and Head of the\nSoftware Engineering (RPL) Study Programme at UBSI, is collaborating\nwith Luiz Rizki Ramelan of Xnergy Autonomous Power Technology\nSingapore.<\/p>\n
The research collaboration carries the title \u2018Accelerating Embedded\nSoftware Engineering and Intelligent Firmware for Agro-industrial\nMechatronics Through Global Industry Synergy\u2019.<\/p>\n
The research also involves Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia and\nUniversitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta as collaborating partners in\ntechnology-based research development.<\/p>\n
The Impactful Diaspora Programme is one of the strategic steps taken\nby Kemendiktisaintek to bring together researchers at Indonesian higher\neducation institutions with members of the Indonesian diaspora who have\nexperience at global institutions and in global industries.<\/p>\n
Through the programme, international collaboration is expected to\naccelerate technology transfer, improve research quality and expand the\nnational innovation network.<\/p>\n
In this research, the team is developing embedded software\nengineering and intelligent firmware technology to support mechatronic\nsystems in the agro-industrial sector. The technology is expected to\nimprove efficiency, productivity and the application of intelligent\nsystems in various agriculture-based industrial processes.<\/p>\n
Dr Taufik said that success in obtaining the 2026 Impactful Diaspora\nProgramme represents an important milestone for strengthening research\ncapacity while opening up broader opportunities for international\ncollaboration.<\/p>\n
The Kemendiktisaintek 2026 Impactful Diaspora Programme is a tangible\ncommitment to building a high-impact research ecosystem through the\nacceleration of embedded software technology and intelligent firmware\nfor agro-industrial mechatronics.<\/p>\n

According to him, the involvement of Indonesian diaspora members with\nexperience in global industry provides strategic value in accelerating\nthe exchange of knowledge and technology.
