"summary": "The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is prepared to assist the United States and its allies in forcibly reopening the Strait of Hormuz, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing Arab officials. The UAE is lobbying the UN Security Council for a resolution authorising such action and urging the formation of a coalition involving the US, Europe, and Asia to secure the strait militarily, including mine-clearing operations and potentially occupying Iranian-controlled islands like Abu Musa. This escalation follows recent US-Israeli strikes on Iran and Iran's retaliatory attacks, leading to a de facto blockade of the vital oil shipping route and subsequent rises in global energy prices.",
