Two-way traffic?<\/p>\n
The newspaper reports on recommendations from the U.S. state
\ndepartment that U.S. diplomats and their families in Indonesia
\nshould voluntarily return home as well as the travel notice
\nsaying that U.S. citizens should postpone their trips to
\nIndonesia indicate an arrogance on the part of the U.S.
\ngovernment.<\/p>\n
As an Indonesian citizen I feel deeply offended by such
\nrecommendations and would like to express the following opinions:<\/p>\n
1. U.S. citizens are not safe wherever they are due to the
\narrogant attitude of the U.S. government. Therefore, it would be
\nbetter for U.S. citizens to remind and criticize their government
\nso that it gets rid of such pomposity, which is the precise cause
\nof this predicament for its citizens.<\/p>\n
2. Regarding the current situation, my fellow citizens are
\nsuggested to stay away from locations connected with U.S.
\ninterests, as these areas might pose a grave risk.<\/p>\n
3. Indonesians in the U.S. are well-advised to immediately
\nreturn, because to remain in the U.S. means an all-time readiness
\nto face danger.<\/p>\n
4. The Indonesian government had better evacuate Indonesian
\ndiplomats, their families and Indonesian citizens in the U.S. in
\nconsideration of the possible occurence of danger at any time, as
\nletting them remain in the U.S. is tantamount to allowing them to
\nbe haunted by fear. In addition, the government should forbid
\nIndonesian citizens from traveling to the U.S.<\/p>\n
