        "content": "<p>Tulungagung, East Java - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim)\nof the Tulungagung Police, East Java, has arrested two men suspected of\ninvolvement in aggravated theft at several shops in the Tulungagung area\nand other regions across provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Tulungagung Police Criminal Investigation Unit, First\nInspector Andi Wiranata Tamba, stated on Friday that the two suspects,\nwith the initials IJ (38) and SB (37), were arrested after police\nconducted an investigation into a theft case at a building supply shop\nin Ngantru District reported in May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case began with a report of aggravated theft at a building\nsupply shop in Ngantru District. From the investigation results, we\nmanaged to ascertain the identities and whereabouts of the\nperpetrators,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>IJ was arrested in Pekalongan Regency, while SB was arrested in\nBatang Regency on Thursday (11\/6). Both were subsequently taken to\nTulungagung for further examination.<\/p>\n<p>According to Andi, investigators are still probing the involvement of\nthe two suspects in a number of other theft cases with similar patterns.\nPolice suspect the perpetrators targeted shops that were in a quiet\ncondition by damaging or prying open access points using certain tools\nbefore taking merchandise inside.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to arresting the two suspects, investigators also\ncollected a number of pieces of evidence believed to be related to the\ncriminal act. The Tulungagung Police urge business owners and the public\nto increase vigilance and immediately report any suspicious activity in\ntheir surroundings to the police.<\/p>",
