        "content": "<p>The Indonesian National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has received reports\nof two school meal providers (SPPG) that have cut the school meal\nprogramme budget to 6,500 rupiah per portion. The two SPPG have since\nbeen temporarily suspended.<\/p>\n<p>According to detikNews, Deputy Head of the BGN Nanik S Deyang stated\nthat the reports were submitted by two SPPG heads in East Java. They\nclaimed to have been intimidated by the SPPG owner, who identified\nhimself as a minister\u2019s grandchild.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo SPPG heads from Ponorogo came all the way to Blitar to meet me\nand seek protection,\u201d Nanik told journalists on Monday, 16 March\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>The two SPPG operated in Ponorogo under the Bhakti Bhojana Nusantara\nFoundation. The SPPG heads reported that they, along with nutrition\nsupervisors and finance supervisors, were constantly pressured and\nintimidated by a foundation that claimed to be owned by someone who\nidentified himself as a minister\u2019s grandchild.<\/p>\n<p>Nanik stated that the two SPPG heads were pressured and threatened\nwith police involvement or legal action if they did not comply with the\nfoundation\u2019s demands.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation allegedly manipulated food procurement purchases,\nreducing the budget from 10,000 rupiah per portion to 6,500 rupiah. As a\nresult, the SPPG heads had to cover the shortfall from their own pockets\nin order to provide adequate meals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have no choice, sir. I feel sorry for the student beneficiaries,\u201d\nsaid Mufid.<\/p>\n<p>Following these complaints, the BGN temporarily suspended the two\nSPPG in the Ponorogo area. The suspension was implemented after the\nDaily Chair of the Coordination Team of 17 Ministries and Agencies for\nSchool Meal Programme Implementation received confirmation from the\nminister in question.<\/p>\n<p>The minister stated that he does not have a grandchild as described\nand claimed ownership of the two facilities. The minister agreed that\nthe facility allegedly owned by someone claiming to be his grandchild\nshould be shut down.<\/p>",
