        "content": "<p>Two scavengers shot dead<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The bodies of two scavengers were found on<br>\nTuesday morning with gun shot wounds near Mega Guna warehouse in<br>\nPenjaringan, North Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Andi Tabrani, 25, had bullet wounds in the chest and right<br>\nthigh, while Mulyono, 28 -- who was known to his friends as Yudi<br>\nRianto -- had been shot in the chest.<\/p>\n<p>According to the victims' families and friends, the two were<br>\nscrap iron collectors and lived in a slum area under the Muara<br>\nKarang overpass in North Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Mulyono's elder brother, Tatang, said the victim was an<br>\nalcoholic and habitually carried a badik, a South Sulawesi<br>\ntraditional dagger.<\/p>\n<p>\"They went out together on Monday night. Both of them brought<br>\nsmall daggers. Probably the police got them on a raid,\" Tatang<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Another scavenger said he saw the two men being picked up by<br>\npolice in Penjaringan district at the Teluk Gong market traffic<br>\ncircle.
