        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Armed Forces Military Police Centre\n(Puspom TNI) has disclosed that two of the four members of the TNI\nStrategic Intelligence Agency (Bais) acted as the executors in the acid\nattack on Andrie Yunus, Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Missing\nPersons and Victims of Violence (KontraS).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCorrect (two members as executors). From the CCTV footage, there are\ntwo people who carried it out,\u201d stated Commander of Puspom TNI Major\nGeneral Yusri Nuryanto during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in\nJakarta on Wednesday (18\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, regarding who gave the order, that\u2019s what we\u2019re still\ninvestigating. We\u2019re gathering witnesses and existing evidence.\nSecondly, the motive is also being examined,\u201d explained Yusri.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, Puspom TNI has asked the public to be patient. They\npromised to work transparently and professionally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will inform the stages, starting from the investigation process,\ncase compilation, and then handover of the file to the Military\nProsecutor, up to the trial process,\u201d said Yusri.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Puspom TNI has charged the four Bais TNI members with\npremeditated assault in the form of an acid attack on Andrie Yunus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor now, we are applying Article 467 of the Criminal Code under Law\nNo.\u00a01 of 2023,\u201d stated Yusri.<\/p>\n<p>Previously reported, Andrie Yunus, Deputy Coordinator of KontraS,\nbecame a victim of an acid attack by unidentified individuals on\nThursday night (12\/3\/2026) in the Senen area, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the attack, Andrie suffered burns to several parts of\nhis body, including his eyes, face, chest, and hands.<\/p>\n<p>KontraS Working Body Coordinator Dimas Bagus Arya said the incident\noccurred after Andrie finished recording a podcast at the office of the\nIndonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI) in Menteng, Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the acid attack, Andrie Yunus had to undergo intensive\ntreatment at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.<\/p>",
