        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian Ministry of Defence has\nconfirmed that two soldiers from the Task Force of the Indonesian\nContingent (Konga) TNI in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon\n(UNIFIL) mission were killed in southern Lebanon on Monday\n(30\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This brings the total number of fallen TNI soldiers to three\nmembers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the incident, two TNI soldiers were reported killed, while two\nothers suffered serious injuries. The injured soldiers are currently\nreceiving intensive medical treatment at a healthcare facility in\nBeirut,\u201d said Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, Head of\nInformation at the Ministry of Defence Secretariat General, in a press\nrelease on Tuesday (31\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>He added that the incident occurred amid increasing intensity of\ncombat in the area.<\/p>\n<p>To date, the exact cause of the incident is still being investigated\nby UNIFIL in accordance with applicable procedures.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Defence and TNI,\ncontinues to coordinate with UNIFIL headquarters to ensure the safety of\nall personnel and the best handling for the victims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvacuation and medical treatment measures have also been carried out\nquickly in accordance with United Nations operational procedures,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Defence emphasised that the safety of peacekeeping\nforces must be a priority.<\/p>\n<p>Rico stressed that all parties involved in the conflict are expected\nto respect international humanitarian law and ensure the security of\npeacekeeping personnel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndonesia remains committed to actively contributing to maintaining\nworld peace and supporting regional stability through participation in\nUN peacekeeping missions,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the latest information from TNI Headquarters, they are Head\nSoldier (Praka) Rico Pramudia, Praka Bayu Prakoso, Praka Farizal\nRhomadhon, and Praka Arif Kurniawan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPraka Farizal Rhomadhon was declared killed, Praka Rico Pramudia\nsuffered serious injuries, while Praka Bayu Prakoso and Praka Arif\nKurniawan suffered minor injuries and are currently receiving medical\ntreatment,\u201d said TNI Head of Information Centre Major General Aulia Dwi\nNasrullah to Kompas.com on Monday (30\/3\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>For medical treatment, the two soldiers with minor injuries are being\ntreated at UNIFIL Level I Hospital, a basic healthcare facility of the\nUN forces.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the soldier with serious injuries was evacuated by\nhelicopter to St.\u00a0George Hospital in Beirut for further treatment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fallen soldier is currently laid to rest at the East Sector\nHeadquarters (HQ) and is in the process of administrative arrangements\nfor repatriation to Indonesia with assistance from the Indonesian\nEmbassy in Beirut,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>",
