Two men die from beating, stabbing<\/p>\n
TANGERANG (JP): A suspected robber and a man involved in a row
\nover a woman were killed in separate incidents here on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Tangerang Police chief Lt. Col. Pudji Hartanto said Mardiyan,
\n23, was killed by a mob after he stabbed an ojek (motorcycle
\ntaxi) driver named Sudiyo and seized his vehicle.<\/p>\n
Sudiyo picked up Mardiyan from the Cengkareng area early on
\nWednesday morning. When they arrived in the Karang Anyar area at
\nBatu Ceper subdistrict, however, Mardiyan suddenly drew a knife
\nand stabbed Sudiyo.<\/p>\n
\"Sudiyo tried to save his motorcycle by shouting for help.
\nLocal residents, who were preparing for their dawn meals, came
\nout of their homes to see what was happening.\"<\/p>\n
After learning about the attempted robbery, they attacked
\nMardiyan. He died from his injuries at Tangerang General
\nHospital.<\/p>\n
In the second incident, which occurred at Ciater village in
\nBumi Serpong Damai district, 20-year-old Ali bin Romli was
\nstabbed to death by Masandi, 38, following a heated dispute over
\nthe latter man's wife.<\/p>\n
Masandi is detained at Serpong police station for questioning.
